Remembering Melissa Straw

Apr 1, 2016

Long-time Columbia resident Melissa Straw passed away recently. Among her many other contributions to the local music scene, Straw conducted the Children's Choir of the Missouri Symphony Conservatory. Here's a conversation Straw had early last year with Trevor Harris when Straw was a guest on the Missouri Symphony Orchestra Radio Hour.

What does it take to shape an enthusiastic young voice into a productive choral member? Melissa Straw knew. The conductor of the Missouri Symphony Conservatory's Children's Chorus passed away last month. She was a guest on a 2016 episode of the Missouri Symphony Orchestra Radio Hour.
