Japanese-born composer Takuma Itoh has composed chamber pieces, works for orchestra and a recent site-specific sound installation. He will be one of eight resident composers during the Mizzou International Composers Festival, which runs July 25-30. Itoh was a guest of Trevor Harris on a recent episode of Mizzou Music on Classical 90.5.

Sutherland and numerous alumni are in Columbia this week for a celebration of the Jazz Studies program's 50th anniversary.
